Well, that sure didn’t take long …

The Canadian election was a week ago yesterday.  Justin Trudeau was declared the winner at about 10:00,negativity2 10:30 p.m.  The Liberals, his party, won by a majority, unexpected by most Canadians I think it’s safe to say.  For that matter, it may very well have taken him by surprise.

Absolutely fascinated, swept along the wave of happiness that was permeating our country from coast to coast, relieved we’ll finally see the back Continue reading

You’re never too old to change your mind …

I’ve always dreaded Fall.  Silly really, especially as it’s probably one of our most beautiful seasons; autumnbut in all honesty I’ve never appreciated it because winter follows, and I certainly couldn’t be called a cold weather enthusiast.

Something’s happened though and, dare I say, autumn is fast becoming my favourite time of year.  I know, perhaps I should lay down and see if it passes.

Not for my psyche, or my nerves, but to ensure I hear it and, more importantly, can’t ignore it.  And I probably have some masochistic tendencies.  However …

As the mother of two four-legged babies, I am usually up before the alarm goes off, because at least one of my fabulous felines gets to me first.

And let me assure you, there is nothing as sweet as being awakened by a cold, wet nose pressed against your own Continue reading
